Description:
S# 8206 , 25-20 Marlin, 24 inch octagon barrel, bright excellent bore. This rifle was built from 1913 to 1957 and is the model 27 variation with added takedown button on right side of receiver. Gun is in very good condition with 80% blue fading on receiver bottom and sides from carrying. The stock has been inletted 3/8 inch past the tang to fit the base of a tang site which is no longer attached. The tang is polished bright metal and has a ill fitted filler screw. The heel of butplate and stock have also been altered slightly to remove a chip. Wood shows a little added finish with very few handling marks. The barrel bottom is import marked. This is a classic Marlin small game rifle that shows many years of honest service and remains in great condition. FFL or C&R
