Description:
Colt 1911A1 Joe Foss Limited Edition .45 ACP Caliber 5" Barrel With Walnut Display Case Condition: As New, unfired. Burgundy Velvet liner. Also included, though not original to the issue of the gun, is a 1993 photograph of the five remaining USMC Medal of Honor Aces, taken at the Military Gallery in Ojai, CA, where the aces gathered to sign the lithograph in the photo, titled "In Gallant Company". Only seven copies of the photo were printed. Five went to the aces themselves, one to the photographer, and one to the friend who ask the photo be taken, if possible. In addition to the photo, the written story of the how it came about is included, signed by the photographer, who not only owned the gun, but is a member of the NRA Board of Directors.
