I am the original owner of this fine weapon. It was made in 1970. I bought it in 1970. It was used only once- to hunt ducks on Long Island, New York. Fired about 8 rounds through it. Those ducks knew just how high to fly. They knew they were out of range. I didn't. Final score-DUCKS 8, ME O. Never liked duck that much anyhow. The gun worked fine- it was an operator problem!
This gun is in 98-99% condition.I believe the wood is a French walnut with a high gloss lacquer. The fore-piece and pistol grip are both nicely checkered. Except for working parts the metal is all nicely blued with a scroll engraveing on the receiver and other parts.There is a full length ventilated rib. The barrel is 28" with a modified choke. The right side of the barrel is marked: Special Steel-12 guage-Shells 2& 3/4". There are also some proof marks in this area. The left side of the receiver is marked " Light Twelve" and "Browning". The left side of the barrel is marked "Browning and the address and Made in Belgium". There is a bead type front sight. The butt is marked "Browning Automatic" and "FN".
This is a great shotgun ( if you know a place where the ducks are more co-operative).
