Mauser (byf) K98K, Caliber 8mm, Serial Number 560XX f.
An all matching beauty. This charmer has about 85% of the original factory blue. The loss is contained to light edge silvering and thinning on the floor plate and bolt handle. Everything on this gun matches. The butt plate does not match however it is correct and was supplied by another contractor. It is the early cupped type and is stamped gqm, 44, Eagle/waA8. The receiver is marked Eagle/135, byf, 44 and Eagle/Swastika and another Eagle/135. The barrel is stamped Eagle/Swastika, 467 and Eagle/135. The bolt, Eagle/135 and 60XX, the safety, 60XX. The front barrel band 60XX, magazine floor plate, byf, Eagle/135 and 60XX. The trigger group, Eagle/135, byf, Eagle/135.The early cupped butt plate is stamped gqm, 44, Eagle/waA8. The laminated wood stock is in super condition and there are few small nicks or dings and a few scratches. There are two small initials B and N carved lightly in the underside of the forearm. But no chips or splits anywhere. The bore is very fine, shiny with very crisp rifling and only a hint of graying. Should be a great shooter. The gun comes with one original leather sling. The slide buckle is stamped D & C.
