VERY ORNATE OTTOMAN TURKISH MIQUELET RIFLED CARBINE CIRCA 1800. 46” o/a with 33” rifled .60 caliber silver inlaid barrel with the left side of the breech stamped with the maker’s oval cartouche within which is the maker’s name in Arabic. Very ornate bone and brass inlaid Ottoman Tufek form stock with the butt very heavily inlaid with almost total coverage. Engraved lock with triple brass finial on the top jaw screw. Ramrod and front band missing. Fine overall with the lock in working order. Dark bore with good rifling. Particularly fine example with the stock inlays all present and in excellent condition.
