Benteen and returned and is listed as "battle damaged at Little Big Horn" My gun 6991 has this number on three parts. The frame, t.g. and b.s. the bbl. and cylinder are R.A.C. and D.F.C inspected. The tiny "A" is on the t.g and b.s., all martial inspections are visible on the gun. Its is well used but smoothe gray metal, absolutely correct in its artillery configuration.
