Description:
WINCHESTER MODEL 70 TRANSITION RIFLE sn 61xxx in .270 WCF with a bright excellent bore. All the early features are present with clover leaf tang, full oval pistol grip and 20 LPI checkering. The safety arm is of transition style. The metal surfaces on this 1946/47 manufactured rifle retain about 97% of the original factory blue with most loss being some slight edge silvering on the floor plate which also exhibits a very few tiny specks of minor surface oxidation. The bolt is correctly numbered to the receiver. The stocks retain 97-98% of the original factory finish and the checkering is crisp and sharp with a small spot of flattening. Sights are original and correct.
