Description:
Here is one 12 Gauge Colt Damascus shotgun that survives in complete, original condition for of over 120 years. No rust or pitting on this one. Such is the history of appreciative and caring family owners. Further details: COLT manufactured Damascus barrel 12 gauge – 3” chamber gun, Patented 1882, SN 4919 - 30” barrels have  (**),choke. LOP =12 1/4", DAC = 3", and  DAH = 8". This shotgun is complete, some original finish remaining; some case hardening is visible at the breech, left trigger bluing is good, otherwise mostly faded. Screws are sharp, engraving in good shape, so it hasn’t been messed with. Damascus pattern is moderate, but most readable on the upper and lower barrel ribs and at covered places. Both Bores are bright and shiny. Wood stock has rounded grip and shows scratches, no dings. The silver medallion and butt plate are original and in good condition; fore-end has minor crack in inlay and missing three small wood pieces; its underside is pristine with matching serial number and choke stamps. Checkering is good. The gun has had perhaps a bit more cleaning and rubbing than necessary, so the price takes all into consideration, including its 1882 scarcity. Comes with antique wood and brass shotgun cleaning rod. This gun is sold as used, without warranty expressed or implied. Buyer pays all shipping and insurance related to sale/inspection. Three day return privilege in effect when purchased at list price. ffl not required for this antique.;
