Factory smoothbore for shooting 22 Long Rifle shot shells. This gun was made in 1952. This gun is fitted with a front shotgun bead sight and is not drilled or cut for a rear sight. Barrel is 25 inches long and is open bored to help spread the shot better. Top of the barrel is marked - Routledge Bore For 22 Long Rifle Shot Cartridge. This 22 shotgun was originally designed to shoot miniature clay birds. Really good for small pests. Has the original buttplate. There are no alterations on this 22 shotgun. This is a rarely seen 22. This single shot is in about 82% overall condition with the barrel blue fading. A fun shooting gun for the shooter collector. Search for Harry Viezens on google.
