This is a second change model. With the second change they deleted the trigger guard screw and changed the cylinder stop. This was done in 1961 The third change came out in 1967. This model was discontinued in 1999 with 8 changes. This pistol's serial number is K 536414. This Smith & Wesson is in almost unused condition. This pistol shows very little sign of being shot. There is no wear to the bluing from holster wear or handling. There is a very faint drag line between the stops. There is no sign of wear on the trigger or hammer. The color cased finish is very strong on the trigger and hammer and would rate a 99% condition. The bluing would also rate a 99% condition. The original diamond insert grips are serial numbered to the pistol. The grips also show a 99% condition. The box is serial numbered to this pistol. The original accessories include the waxed wrapping paper, screwdriver, Cleaning rod and instruction sheet. The top of the box has some paper loss due to some tape being removed. Oter than that the box is sound. This is a near as new in the box pistol as you can get! This is a real stunning looking Smith & Wesson that would make any collector happy to have in their collection. Search for Harry Viezens on google.
