Description:
28" SxS fluid-steel barrels with full flat matted rib, fine bead front sight, and four folding express sights for 100, 150, 200 and 250 yards. 14 1/8"pull from front trigger to checkered butt finished with border-engraved steel heel and toe plates. Recently refitted with a proper new buttstock of dark, highly figured walnut with classic point-pattern checkering with mullered borders, teardrops, sling eye, vacant silver oval, steel pistol grip cap and beaded pancake cheekpiece. Original splinter forend with Anson pushbutton release. Anson & Deeley boxlock action with rib-extension third fastener, Westley Richards "C" fastener toplever, long-tang triggerguard, partial coverage fine scroll engraving and automatic top tang safety with SAFE in gold. Redfield Bearcub 2 3/4x scope with fine crosshair reticle on Kesselring hand-detachable mounts. Weight: 7lbs, 11oz without scope. Loading data and dies available. 85% barrel blue. Action mostly silvered. Tight, with forend in place. Good bores, the rifling a little frosty, but with no visible pitting. Pictured Double Gun Journal, Spring 2014, p50, and described pp 69 & 70.
