Description:
Professionally made medium weight leather flap type antique holster (circa 1880-1900) for S. & W, #2 Army revolver with a 5 1/2" barrel. It should also take a "Plant" or similar example. The flap is held in place with a brass finial. The back has a leather strap secured with two steel rivets which will tale a 1 1/2" belt. This was probably sold by "Hartley and Graham" of N. Y. or some other leather goods dealer.
All stitching is fine and secure, the overall being supple but firm. There is the impression of a 5" having been stored in this example for a long time.
Could use a little cleaning. Hard to find to-day.
