Lock plate is dated 1865. Trapdoor is dated 1866. A pretty good example that still has cond but shows its age. Nice clean smooth metal. Aged silver color which it should be. Nice markings. Very nice bright shiny bore with just a couple spots of light frosting and a couple minor pitts. Wood is also very good with no visible cracks or losses. Several handling marks but nice overall. 2 cartouches on the left side. One is Ethan Allen. Both are visible and readable. Very good hammer and trigger springs. The trapdoor locks up but has slight movement. This gun comes with bayonett and sheath and an old leather sling. Way above average cond for one of these. Good looking piece of history!
