TARGET: Trap, Skeet Dove, etc. (1 1/8 oz. #8 lead shot)
FIELD: Squirrels, Rabbits, etc. (1 1/4 oz #4 or #6 lead shot)
HEAVY FIELD: Pheasant, Turkey etc. (1 1/4 oz #4 or #6 lead shot)
00 Buck: Deer, coyotes, hogs, etc (9 pellets)
In some respects, these black powder shells have superior performance to today's smokeless rounds. There is significantly less recoil but with better patterns which hold tighter over longer distances.
Grandpa's gun was designed for black powder-so why not use it the way it was designed? You'll love the results! Plus, there's the "cool" factor. Once you shoot black powder, you'll never return to the "modern" stuff. I offer the above loads in either roll crimp or star crimp.
