Description:
Consists of a 30" bbl in 22 S with an excellent bore featuring a folding Beeches front sight. No dove tail for rear sight. A Pope folding tang sight. Fitted with a nickel plated Pope lever and palm rest. Nickel plated Schuetzen style buttplate. Schuetzen dbl set triggers. Bore is excellent. Also has a heavy weight Pope marked bbl at 32" long. Marked on top is "Stevens Pope J Stevens Arms and Tool Co. Chicopee Falls, MA". This bbl has no front sight. Fitted with scope blocks at the rear. 32-33 Pope cartridge cal with excellent bore. Overall gun is fine cond with nicely checkered stocks that are crisp and clean. Most orig varnish remains and only a few light handling mars. Features orig cheek piece. About 95% orig bbl blue and 90% case colors starting to fade some on the receiver. The Pope bbl is also fitted with correct breech block, Pope style nickel plated lever and correct ejector. A very neat little rig! Well equipped and in fine cond. Has mushroom style palm rest which was relocated about an 1" forward on the forearm leaving an extra hole where it was originally. No biggy. Correct all matching numbers.
