#37575, Holland & Holland Ltd., 13 Bruton Street, London W 1: A 16 Bore Holland & Holland Anson & Deeley Boxlock Ejector Made 1968 with 28" Dovetail Lump Barrels at .662 .007 & .025" (Imp.Cyl. & Full), 2 3/4" chambers, Wall thickness on the right & left barrel at .032", Proved at 3 1/4 Tons at .662", Double triggers, Splinter forend with an Anson release, Straight hand stock at 15 x 1 7/16 x 2 1/4" over a checkered butt, H&H's nice touch of a swept comb for the right hand that points like a dream, Great game gun weight at 6 lbs. 1 oz., That is near 20 Bore weight in a 16 Bore gun, Nice wood with very nice brown color contrast, 25% coverage of scroll engraving, This piece retains 40% case colors, 90% original barrel blue, The wood with original finish that remains at 88%, The checkering is at 98%, The bores are excellent plus and it remains smack on the face with a lot of bite left, The barrels ring with a very pronounced chime. It is cased in the maker's leather cornered leather trunk with a full complement of cleaning accessories. This H&H Boxlock 16 Bore has very nice wood, great weight and comes to the hand with ease, especially with the swept comb. It was the property of a sporting gentleman.
