Description:
This Colt M1877 "Lightning" was Colt's first attempt at manufacturing a double-action revolver, and was the first successful US-made double-action cartridge revolver. The shorter barreled versions such as this, without the ejector rod, were marketed as "shopkeeper's specials." This has a full half-moon front sight, an extended knurled base pin, and original Colt bakelite grips.
