A very nice, solid and attractive example. Absolutely tight lock up with no looseness, open or closed.
Barrels
32” smokeless fluid steel, 2 ¾ “ chambers, middle bead, 90% of (probably) original blue.
left barrel marked “4”, choke measures .037
right barrel marked “2”, choke measures .015
wall thickness of both barrels (measuring OD – ID ÷ 2) = 36 thousands
Bright, shiny bores with a few pits behind the chokes.
Receiver has an old patina with a clean surface and very little case color left. Well-timed, strong ejectors. Top lever far to the right.
Beautiful well-figured original buttstock and forend. Well repaired chip at the top head of the stock at the receiver on the right side. Cleaned, ornate checkering. Old “anti-flinch recoil pad”.
