Description:
Marking on bbl rib is "W C Scott and Son makers London". A very heavy walled bbls that almost look like a 10 ga but it is a 12 ga. Chambers 2-3/4" shells. Bbl length on European shotguns are different. This one measures 31-1/4". Choked modified range. Bores are in the VG category with no pitting and some light roughness and maybe a bit of leading. One ding in the left hand bbl. Gun locks up good. Fine scroll engraving and a dog on the left hand side on the side plate. Wood is somewhat typical of an antique SxS. A couple of chips missing on the forearm. Couple of hairline cracks coming off the locks. Appears to have had a wrist repair. Barely noticeable and all wood present. A coat of finish added years ago. Overall a good looking old hammer gun.
