Description:
This is model 1884 variation in a little over 500k serial range. This gun has been used and slightly abused but still pretty decent. The trapdoor had some pitting that had been cleaned along with the receiver bridge front of bbl. Most likely from poor storage. The remainder of the bbl is not bad with light freckling. Lock plate is in very nice cond with nice eagle marking and the US Springfield. Hammer is also VG. Bore is pretty dark and does need a good cleaning. The stock is above average. It shows it's age and doesn't have much luster but is very sound and overall VG. Ramp style carbine rear sight which would be earlier than this gun. Trapdoor carbines generally cost quite a bit of money but this one is very reasonable.
