French model 16 Lebel carbine made by Et. Continsouza. and has matching bolt, stock, and trigger guard, very rare for this maker! Action works good, and the 17 3/4" barrel has an excellent, clean, bright shiny rifled bore bore , again very rare.French walnut wood is excellent with typical wartime dings, and scrapes , but no serious breakage, or issues! Medal overall is arsenal blue, and is very good, with about 80% remaining. Some of these rifles had seen use in WWI, WWII.,Korean war, and Vietnam. A rugged carbine. the stock has a car touche in a circle from a military arsenal and a date of 1939 when it may have been re-issued.
