FRANZ SODIA FERLACH BOLT ACTION RIFLE ... 458 Win Mag caliber ... Unique, 22 1/2" partial octagon/partial round barrel with a solid rib ... three leaf type rear sights & brass blade front sight ... weight 7.5 lbs ... LOP 14" ... 1" Griffin & Howe recoil pad with black line ... front & rear sling swivels. This firearm was manufactured in 1971.
The casehardened finish receiver has 100% coverage of intricate arabesque scroll engraving which extends all the way down the bolt handle. The floor plate has a realistic, deep relief engraving of a charging cape buffalo. The trigger guard has gold inlaid script initials. This barrel is made from the finest Bohler Rasant steel.
The one piece European walnut stock features a pistol grip, stylized cheek piece, multipoint checkering on the grip surfaces and a contrasting rosewood forend tip. Please review the photos to appreciate how this stock was crafted to accentuate the beautiful grain pattern.
