Description:
Griffin & Howe bolt action rifle chambered in the ever popular .270 Winchester. G&H #2695 this rifle was built circa 1980 on a pre-64 Winchester model 70 action. Made in the classic G&H style with hooded G&H front sight and G&H barrel band sling swivel this gun also has some very special features: An engraved & checkered bolt knob; a very special quarter rib with one standing and three folding sights along with integral scope mounts & correct 1” quick detachable rings. 24" barrel with hooded front sight.
Additionally the 13 1/4" LOP stock is select walnut and the gun is factory leather cased! The brass escutcheon in the bottom of the stock is engraved with original owner’s name. The metal is 98%, the wood finish is completely intact but there is 35 years of light handling marks. The rifle weighs 8 lbs. 12 oz. To have G&H build this gun today the cost would be in excess of $20,000.
