Description:
Reduced - New Price   This almost completely unaltered C.S. Fayetteville Rifle was carried by R.W. Sawyers, 8th Rgt. North Carolina, Co. C.  The only work done on the piece is a wood repair alongside the top tang.  Everything else, I believe to be original.  The markings by Mr. Sawyers are scratched into the wood, under the butt plate.  There is no doubt as to its age or authenticity.  This Fayetteville is marked 1863 on the lock and the barrel.  It is marked C.S.A. on the lock.  It has the distinctive Fayetteville hammer.  The butt plate, trigger guard, both bands and the nose cap are brass.  It retains the original sights.  The barrel is rifled 58 caliber.  The V.P. and eagle on the barrel are nice and sharp.  This gun will grade very good or better.  A rare, unaltered, Confederate and North Carolina, ID’ed rifle.  They do not come much better in a war used rifle!!  Additional pictures available upon request.  US only – no international sales. Give us a call 251-510-5007 or email us at jimconfederateordinance for more information.  Buyer pays $50.00 shipping in a hard case.  Three day inspection allowed if returned UNALTERED.  Antique – no FFL required.  If your state requires an FFL for antiques, you should call before buying.  Must be 21 years of age to purchase.  Any weapon you plan to shoot should be inspected by a competent gunsmith before firing.
