Description:
This is a top of the line J Purdey & Sons 20 bore shotgun. The factory engravings is special order with a large and deeply cut pattern on the case color receiver. This shotgun has not been back for a refinish and is in its original condition. The wood is also a non-standard but up-ordered dark walnut with very nice contrast. The shotgun is built on the Beesley self-opening action. The case colors are bright and vivid, the sidelock pins, hinge pin and cocking indicators are a bright fire blue. The trigger guard lever and barrels are a deep blue. The frame and triggers are case color. The engraving is sharp and crisp. The walnut stock and forearm are in excellent condition with minimal field marks. This fine English shotgun comes in a Makers Oak and Leather case.
