Description:
Serial #53029, 38 S&W, 4” barrel with a fine bore that has few traces of freckling within the grooves. This is a handsome revolver that retains about 90-95% original blue finish with mildly thinning finish on the cylinder from holster wear, and minor fading and silvering along the high edges and projections. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel, latch, cylinder, and extractor. The hammer and trigger still retain robust case-hardened colors with scattered light freckling on some areas, and there is a plum-brown patina on the frontstrap. The grips are period, diamond-center, extended target stocks (numbered to a different gun), and are in very good-fine shape with some light scratches and handling marks as well as some flattening of the points. The mechanics, timing, and lock up are all excellent and the barrel to frame fit remains firm. These are fairly uncommon revolvers and this is a very nice example that rates very good plus-fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
