Serial #J974441, .38 Special, 3” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. The metal surfaces rate excellent and retain 98% plus of their original blued finish. The cylinder likewise rates excellent and retains 98% plus of its blued finish, although there is a faint turn-ring, and the hammer and trigger have most of their original color case-hardening remaining. The checkered walnut grips rate fine-near excellent, but do exhibit some very mild handling marks and a hint of flattening to the points. The revolver is in excellent condition overall and is a great example of a “Chief's Special Airweight” overall. FFL
