Description:
S# 224954, 30-30, 26 inch barrel, bright excellent bore. factory records state that this 1901 manufactured 1893 was originally in 25-36 Marlin caliber. It was rechambered to 30-30 with the barrel marking overstamed with individual dies. Gun looks great with strong traces of case colors on receiver and lever under a developing mottled patina. Barrel and mag tube show about 40-50% blue with dried grease and oxidation stains scattered about. Wood is sound with typical marks from use, a little extra oil was wiped on long ago. Screw slots are crisp, sights are original and action is smooth. There is some info going around that some of the 25-36 Caliber 1893s were converted to .30-30 by Marlin before they left the factory. We have no way to verify this may or may not be one of them. FFL or C&R
