Description:
NA9102,Serial #051354.New Old Stock.Unfired.This Rifle was match conditioned by the late Master Armorer,Glen Nelson, at his shop in Columbus ,Ga.He was contracted by Springfield to match condition National Match, and Super Match Rifles during the 1980s and early 90s..Upon completion he would send them back to Springfield for a few finishing touches then offered for sale to the public. His trademark grease pencil #s are still present on this unfired Rifle. A #67 is still visible on the heel of receiver and on the mag release. The headspace # 1.6315 is visible on the rear sight cover.Glen put these numbers there to keep track of parts. This Rifle was built during the Golden Years of the M1A between Serial #s 042,201 and 063,000. The receivers were hand finished by the original designer and Master craftsman Melvin Smith. The Rifle has never been field stripped. The trigger housing never removed. The front sight has the thicker NM .720 and the rear sight has a NM .520 hooded peep sight. The stock has a beautiful dark Wanut grain. The bore is as new as it left the factory on October 20,1989.I have not oiled the wood or cleaned the Rifle except for a oil patch down the bore..There is absolutely no rust, pitting or scratches on this Rifle.I will not field strip this Rifle to ID any parts. The new owner will have the privledge of breaking the seal. This Rifle was built by a Legend for out of the box precision.Google Glen Nelson M-14, interesting read. Factory grease is still visible. The new owner will not only have a NM,but also a piece of M1A history, built by Glen Nelson himself.A Rifle like this might only come along once in our lifetime in this condition. The official letter from SAI documents this Rifle. The original outer shipping box from SAI has the original C.O.D. price of $744.45. Included, the original green box ,1 mag,all documents with the still attached blue shipping tag and headspace card.It does not get any better than this. The Rifle will be shipped in a hard case. The 2 original boxes will be shipped empty.Add $70.00 for shipping and ins.from my FFL to your FFL.USPS money orders only.No sales to Kalifornia. This Rifle will be sold as is.Buy with confidence.SemperFi,John
