Description:
Back of gripframe is engraved "Captain John Irvin". Internet research indicates a Captain John Irvin served in the Civil War with Company B 149th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry with quite a colorful history. Shows little remaining original finish with excellent mechanical function and screws. Bore and chambers remain in good condition. Grips shows their age with a couple chips missing from the bottom front edges and usual use marks. Matching numbers throughout including the wedge pin. Certainly an interesting piece of history. Antique.
