#4646 J. Hafner – Wien, percussion Target or Traveling Pistol. German manufacture and very good quality. It is a single-shot, about 55caliber with a 7” long barrel and slightly swamped configuration toward the muzzle end. Heavily and DEEPLY rifled bore looks VG/VG+, and it is fitted with DOUBLE set triggers!! Smooth brown patina metal is fully “bank-note” engraved with scenes and grip is checkered. What this very good quality 1850s pistol needs is better excutcheons to the barrel key, as these are poor homemade replacements. It should have some epoxy filler applied to the nosecap area, as well, as it has some damage. Well worth a little effort to upgrade as it is a well made and obvious nicely engraved pistol. About Good+/VG as described. $545
