It indexes OK but can easily be moved off the locking bolt. The overall grey metal has scattered light to medium salt & pepper pitting, most of which is on the barrel and front of the frame…probably due to storage in a leather holster. Decent original grips with one chip on the toe of one side. Also has “Ejercito Argentino” gang stamped on the left sideplate. May be worth checking, but I doubt it. Very few of these large framed frontier revolvers were made between 1875-1877; less than one thousand total made in all, and they are a great addition to a frontier collection.
