Description:
#4768 Winchester 1873 RBFMCB, fairly early Second Model,44WCF with VG bore (about a 6+ to 7 on a scale of 10) and smooth action. Serial numbered in the 49XXX range (1880). The exterior exterior of this rifle has an even thin grey-brown patina with just a few minor bumps and bruises, the metal overall is otherwise crisp-edged and devoid of any serious damage or blemishes.. VG wood overall except the buttstock has several dents on the comb which APPEAR to be purposed rather than accidental. Standard sights. Round barrel ‘73s, while being less expensive and “standard” are considerably less common than the octagon barreled rifles, especially in the earlier guns. As production went forward, the round barrels became to get more popular, and by the early 1900s, the round barreled guns became the majority. About “VG-VG+” as described. $2295
