Description:
On the upper tang it says "Smith's Improved Patent-Studlock". Heavy oct bbl of about 56 cal. Bbl is rifled. Bore cond is good with VG rifling. Some slight roughness. This is the somewhat unique underhammer variety. The stock is almost a Kentucky style with a slope to it. Overall wood cond is VG with some age cracks but no missing wood. Patch box on the right hand side. Bbl metal is a pleasing deep brown patina. All hardware is in good cond. Trigger and hammer work well. A great piece of art to display in that den or living room!
