JUST LOWERED PRICE!!! This is a mint Uberti Cattleman made for Taylors & Co so the finish and details were a little more higher end as far as Colt clones go. It has a 45 long colt and a 45 ACP cylinder (only one shown in pics). I've shot a box of each through it before I put it away. I bought it new nearly 18 years ago and decided that it would be the first SAA revolver I would personally hand engrave.
I decided on a period correct Colt factory style scroll design and did it in fairly deep relief. Once the engraving was finished I sent the frame and hammer to Turnbull Restorations for color case hardening and blued the rest locally. I fire blued the screws and trigger myself and the job is signed in two places by me. Both cylinders are engraved in the same pattern except one has a double border around the breech end to tell it apart from the other at a glance, which has a single border band. I have other photos of it during the engraving process that I can provide to the new owner on a CD if you're interested. It'll be in its original box.
I've done many guns but this was my first SAA and it was on display at the 2013 Firearms Engravers Guild of America (FEGA) show in Reno during which time I served as Vice President of that prestigious guild. I've decided to sell to make way for another engraving project which will hopefully be ready for our 2016 show in Vegas. We'll see.
