Description:
This Parker Brothers top lever hammer gun, serial number 29080, was maufactured in 1882.  The receiver retains substantial original case color, as shown in the pictures.  The barrels and the wood are of high quality and beautiful, as properly reconditioned.
 
It has 30” twist steel barrels choked Full (.030) and Full (.030).  The wall thickness (top/side/bottom) for the right barrel at 9” from muzzle is 050/.053/.054 and at the middle of the barrel is .055/.058/.058; the left barrel is .053/.055/.055 and .055/.055/.058, respectively.  Bores 9” from the breach are .755/.755 respectively.  Chambers are 2-5/8”.  The gun locks up tight and on face.  This shotgun is on a number 2 frame and weighs 8 lbs 13 oz.  The drop at the comb is 2” and at the heel 3”.  Length of pull is 14-1/4”. 
 
The price does not include shipping costs paid by buyer.  The inspection period is 7 days from receipt.  We have fired this shotgun using low pressure 2-1/2” shells produced by RST Corporation for Damascus barreled shotguns.  However, as for any antique or vintage shotgun, and especially one over a hundred and thirty years old, it is recommended that the new owner have it inspected by a professional gunsmith before firing and then only use shells that produce pressures for which the gun was designed.  The gun carries a 30-day warrantee, during which we will have any mechanical problems documented by a professional gunsmith repaired or accept the return of the gun and refund the price of the gun and the return shipping cost.  Please do not hesitate to call with questions Stephen Wesbrook, 703-625-4830; Back in Time, LLC  -- preserving late 19th and early 20th Century double shotguns.
