I have a super clean Winchester Model 24 side by side double in the scarce and much sought after 20 gauge. This is a 1949 gun, but it appears to have had very little use. Blueing is around 98% and is original, not a reblue. The walnut stock and forend are in excellent shape, and feature some well executed post-factory checkering. Barrels are 28" and are choked Modified and Full. The bores are bright and clean and there are no dents or other issues. Double triggers and extractors. This is a gun that was obviously well cared for.
The vast majority of Model 24s are found in 12 gauge, and most are found in very hard used condition. To put it nicely, the 12 gauges are "utility guns" designed for farmers and hunters who wanted a solid (but heavy) double at a good price. The 20 gauge guns, however, are a horse of a different color; they are light, quick to the shoulder, and they make excellent upland guns. I will take $925 cash or $1250 trade.
