Description:
S# Y3746, 30-30, 16 1/4 inch barrel, bright excellent bore. This 1964 built carbine features XS sight systems marlin ghost ring aperture rear sight with XS patridge brass faced front sight. Gun remains in excellent condition with over 90% blue showing a few light scratches , muzzle wear, and wear on high edges and bottom of receiver. The white line spacer is removed from under butplate. Wood shows a few light marks, typically seen on a hunting gun. This light (6lb), short (34 inch) carbine is set up for accurate quick shooting making this an ideal whitetail gun. We have had many questions about this item and have found that the finish is original and was applied in under the front sight in the dovetail cutout. The only conclusion is the sight was factory installed on the 16 1/4" barrel (see the last photo). If anyone has any other info on these weapons please feel free to contact us.
