Description:
S#614, 31 cal. percussion, 5 inch round barrel, very good bright bore with strong rifling and just a few scattered areas of light erosion. This company built guns from 1858-1867. This is their second model revolver with fluted cylinder and round barrel. Metal surfaces have developed a grey patina, markings remain legible, and action works well. Frame sides show simple engraving. Barrel bottom, loading lever, left side of butt (under grips), and inside trigger guard are all stamped with serial number. The wood stocks show wear with some added finish. Most screws show minor wear and damage to slots. Barrel has light impact marks on both sides. Antique.
