This early 1875 tool is marked 45 Gov. on the side by the hinge. This tool features the Berdan decapper as well as the boxer decapping pin, very rare to find with the tool. This tool retains 25% original gold paint and is in excellent condition. These large 1875 tools are very scarce, the proper, square cut, decapper is even rarer. This tool could be the centerpiece of any tool collection or would certainly enhance a trapdoor display. A piece for the Winchester or the U.S. military collector.
