This style pistol was made circa 1770 most likely in London as there were a number of gunmakers of the name Thomas working there from the 1500's to the 1800's. The barrels are the turn off type ( removed for loading) and are marked "1" and "2". The trigger guard and both sides of the action are engraved. The bore is about .45 caliber. The action is very strong and there is a sliding safety catch. Everything works as designed. The walnut stock has a rounded butt and there is a stable crack on the left side and a small one on the top. The pop out bayonet is missing so if you don't get him with the two shots you're in trouble. It is still a handsome pistol however. There is a tap action lever on the left side to allow the user to fire one barrel or the other. This is an antique so no FFL is required. Pistol may be sent directly to the new owner.
