Description:
This is a Smith & Wesson .455 Hand 2nd Model revolver in .455. The frame is in Good condition with a little pitting on the left side and general blue wear. The cylinder shows good bluing. The hammer and trigger have good case hardening. The barrel has Good blue with some wear and handling marks. The bore shows some pitting with visible rifling. The rear sight is a fixed blade installed`in the topstrap. The front sight has had red paint aplied to the serrated section. The wood grips are in Good condition with a few small nicks on the bottom edge. The lanyard ring is missing. This revolver has the C and Broad Arrow proof and examiner's marks characteristic of Canadian military sidearms. There are what appear to be regiment markings on the backstap. L HQ ML1 I are visible on 4 seperate lines.
