Description:
REMINGTON NEW MODEL CONVERSION .44 RIM FIRE CAL. ARMY REVOLVER CIRCA 1870. Six shot single action with 8” octagon barrel. Factory conversion to cartridge of the percussion Civil War New Model used by Union Cavalry during the War. Popular in the West during the early post Civil War era with both Cowboys and Indian Fighters. All original except the small lever plunger screw and catch which are nicely aged replacements. Very good overall and all original. Grips with wear. Shows lots of use but has a nice old original dark patina. In functioning order. Dark bore. Should clean much better. A gun that has seen lots of service but quite handsome with lots of character.
