ORNATE BOHEMIAN FLINTLOCK 16 BORE FOWLING GUN WITH PRAG (PRAGUE) TOUCHMARK CIRCA 1740-60. 57” overall with 42 ½” octagon to round barrel with swamped muzzle and a well struck maker’s touch mark on the top flat at the breech within which are the latters "PRAG" above what appears to be a running wild boar. Finely faceted and beautifully engraved lock and hammer with game scenes and floral scrolls. Ornate engraved brass mounts and open work side plate. Walnut stock with relief carving about the tang and lock and horn forend cap. Original wood rod. Lock in working order. Original flint configuration. Excellent original example of very high quality.
