Description:
The Yugo M98 rifles are actually German 98k rifles that were captured by Marshall Tito's partisan army, The only difference between a Nazi German K98k and a Yugo Mod. 98 are the markings and the front barrel band. The original German markings were scrubbed and replaced with the Yugoslavian crest and the "Preduzece 44" which stands for Institute 44 in Serbia, the location of Zastava Arms. This one was refurbished before 1950. Bore is bright with sharp rifling, almost all original finish, wood has no cracks or gouges, and comes with original sling. Ser. number on receiver and stock match, mag floorplate does not, and no number can be seen on bolt. This is a real nice surviving example of a 98K and a genuine WWII trophy.
