.45-85-285 caliber, 28 inch octagon barrel, Rocky Mountain front sight, back sight is a long tang (Marlin?)
with a modified blade attached, crescent butt, checkered forearm, letters to Kennedy Bros, Minneapolis, MN, 1893.
Kennedy Bros was a major supplier for the northern and north western states.
Strong bore with minor black powder oxidation, 90%+ barrel and tube blue, tube thinning and turning plum, 50% receiver blue, strong markings, excellent wood with use dings.
