Description:
.69 caliber, rifled 42 inch barrel, long range sight, metal finished "in the white", clear cartouche, breech and lock dated 1854, lock marked Springfield.
These rifles were the first manufactured in both Springfield and Harpers Ferry with interchangeable parts.
Bore is excellent, scattered minor oxidation on metal surfaces, wood is solid with minor use dings.
