Description:
The Remington R1 Carry Commander 1911 has many features that previously could only be found on custom guns. This pistol is dehorned for more comfortable concealed and to reduce the chance of snagging on the draw stroke. The forged steel frame has an extended wide thumb safety and beavertail grip safety with checkered bump aide in achieving the high thumb over safety grip many shooters prefer. The front strap, flat mainspring housing, and grip safety memory bump have 25 lines per inch checkering for positive grip and the magazine well is beveled to aid reloads. The slide has large rear serrations for enhanced grip and reliability is improved with a lowered and flared ejection port. The stainless barrel and bushing sit over a GI length guide rod. A Commander hammer helps round out the package.
