Description:
When I saw this gun in 2004 I was convinced it was the finest 10 gauge I'd ever see. Most certainly it was the best American 10! To start with it has Ordnance steel barrels. The top of each tube is so marked. Further, It is an ejector gun with good dimensions and good triggers. And the for-end has an Anson style release button. That is a weakness of many American doubles. It took me two years or more to separate the gun from its previous owner.
Dimensions are better than most old doubles: LOP 14 1/8", DAC 1 5/8", DAH 2 5/8".
The barrels are 32" Ordnance steel and are so marked. They are in fine shape. The ejectors and triggers work perfectly.
Price includes insured shipping from my FFL to yours. Three day inspection includes no shooting or disassembly. I can expect you would remove the barrels to read the flats -- but that's all! No dry firing. Dry firing an antique double is a recipe for disaster. If you return the gun after inspection my shipping and FFL costs will be deducted from your refund. If there is evidence of firing or disassembly return privilege is revoked.
