Inv. 5050 Harrington & Richardson Bayonet Pistol Circa 1910. Cal. .38, Ser. 1130XX. One of Americas rarest oddities.
With only about 2000 ever produced this one has to be the finest extant......
When seen they usually have the original knife missing or the lug for it ground off. In some instances some cobbed up assembly of mismatched parts ............And typically the guns have the appearance of being rid hard and put away wet..
This beauty retains about 90-95% of the original nickel. There are some small areas of pin pricks at the top of the both perfect Bakelite grip panels, and some light surface flaking on the back strap.
The left side of the gun is almost flawless, the right has a small patch at the muzzle with some light plating loss. The trigger guard is about 98% original blue and the hammer a trigger almost of the factory case colors. The frame, cylinder and barrel group all match
The blade is all original, never sharpened but has some light staining .. The bore and the chambers appear unused. Sharp, minty and bright. It would be a miracle to find a better American collectors oddity than this in the big .38 caliber..........$1595.
